Dakota dress in Blue Pheasant

This beautiful pheasant hand-block print is taken from an 18th-century archive document.  It has a rich and beautiful history with pieces held by various museums and many speculations as to its origins.  We have redrawn the pattern, keeping the original repeat intact and the results are wonderfully painterly and hopefully a fitting tribute to this brilliant old design

The Dakota dress is in a poplin cotton, heavy enough for winter, with pockets, buttons on the top half of the dress and a full skirt with three tiers and full-length sleeves

The length is a little longer than our summer Dakota dress
