Hel-mer - Kuba Lolo Bag Kuba & Black Cobra

Here is our beautiful hand crafted bag made from a mix of traditional Kuba Cloth and Cobra skin all on the side as finishing. This bag is the ultimate bag where Asia meets Africa. Handmade in Bali by local artisans using skins that are common to the balinese culture and mixing it with traditional African woven straw material.
With it’s unusual fun round shape, this ultra light & spacious bag is perfect to wear as a handbag but also as a cross body bag with it’s detachable strap.

Kuba comes from Tribe of The Democratic Republic of Congo. Kuba cloth is woven from raffia palm leaves. Production of the fine decorative textile is a series of endeavours engaging both men and women. The men are responsible for the growing, tending, harvesting and weaving of the cloth. The women are responsible for preparing it for decoration by pounding the stiff, rough cloth until softened, for hemming and in some cases dyeing with natural local plant dyes.
