What is your Random Act of Creativity?
Sculpting and creating ceramics. My work reflects my relationship with nature. As a surfer from Southern California, I appreciate the pure form of self-expression that disappears after each wave. Each piece is textured and glazed with images of the sun engulfed in saltwater; light dancing like gold on the ever-changing sea.
What does Creativity mean to you?
Accessing creativity means breaking the demanding bonds of routine and entering an elevated mental state. When one is immersed in the creative process, all the hectic noise of life quiets and a sort of trance-like focus sets in, perhaps similar to meditation where there seems to be a communion with the Divine.
